Dr. B. Shivkumar, Chairman and Managing Director
Dr. Shivkumar is a Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Madras University and also holds MBA & PhD Degrees from the USA. He has received numerous awards including the Udyog Patra Award from the Vice-President of India and NIQR Award for the best SME at the National level.
Dr. Shivkumar founded Alpump (P) Limited in 1976 to make Water Pumps as Original Equipment for Tata Motors and supplied millions of Water pumps, Oil pumps and other components to Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hyundai, General Motors, Hero Honda, etc. Alpump was the first Water Pump and Oil Pump manufacturing company in the world to get ISO/TS 16949 Quality Certificate. Shivkumar also had a Foundry to manufacture Iron castings with a capacity of 600 tons per month. Prior to starting Alpump, Shivkumar was the Executive Director of Rambal Limited, one of the largest precision turned parts manufacturing companies in Asia of that time.
Bikram Shivkumar, Director
Bikram serves on the Board of Directors of the Shivas Group of Companies and is the Executive Director of Spinach Technologies (which is part of the Shivas Group).
Prior to his current role, Bikram worked at multiple Fortune 500 Companies in the USA implementing Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions. He has successfully led multiple outsourcing and off-shore development projects leveraging on his strengths in Business Process Management and Technology. Bikram holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a BS in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Madras.
R. Ragunathan, General Manager - Business Development & Project Co-ordination
Ragunathan has worked as Senior General Manager of Alpump Private Limited and Manager, NPD at Rane Madras Limited. At Alpump, he handled all commercial functions including supply chain management, material control, marketing and sales. He has over thirty years of experience in different types of foundry operations including steel, ferrous, non-ferrrous and aluminum castings.
S. Padmanabhan, Manager – Engineering
Padmanabhan has more than forty years of experience starting with Guest, Keen & Williams (GKW), Calcutta and worked in senior positions at Sundram Fasteners Limited, RAMBAL Limited and Alpump Private Limited. He has wide experience in Production Technology, Tool and Die Design, Quality Engineering, Computer aided design and drafting and General Management.
